Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

Our Long Awaited Expansion is Finally Happening!

Backpack Society Blog Header

It has been a long time coming but Backpack Society has finally expanded and we recently took over the space next door. It was a labor of love, made possible by the help of so many of our fabulous partners and supporters. The new space will allow BPS to better serve our current schools, take on new schools, host community events and store all of our food donations.

We are extremely grateful for all those who helped make this dream become a reality! We could not have done it without you!

  • Home Depot - They very generously gave BPS a $3050 grant towards materials. Their amazing staff helped us replace ceiling tiles, build shelves and so much more!

  • Interface Carpet - They donated the carpet and the labor for the front entry and meeting space.

  • Shawn Zipfel from Scout Troop 870 - His Eagle Scout project was to gut and rehab the bathroom in the new space. A huge job!

  • Shine of Littleton - They cleaned all of our windows, inside and out.

  • King Soopers - They let us borrow a big truck and helped us move food from our storage space to the new space.

  • RF Smart and High School Volunteers - They helped us with the labor and moving food donations into the new space.

  • Plumbing MD - They are helping with plumbing needs, installing a toilet and hooking up plumbing to the new sink.

  • LoCol Paint - They assisted in getting paint donated by Sherwin Williams and giving our new space a fresh new look!

Thank you! Thank you!

Snag a volunteer slot on line and come sign the new wall! And stay tuned for details on a grand reopening party!
